The Job

The Senior Designer leads creative projects that help people fall in love with the family of brands across the SCAN Group.

As a founding member of the in-house creative team, the Senior Designer will lead the design and concepting of ideas that demonstrate the power of design to solve business problems and make an impact on our customers.

The Senior Designer will help produce work that instills a sense of confidence in our services, promotes a culture of design across the enterprise, and makes people proud to be associated with our brands.

You Will

The Senior Designer combines brilliant creative ideas with exceptional design and astute strategic thinking.

Owns the vision and execution of creative projects, paying close attention to detail and adapting to evolving business needs amidst a flexible and multidisciplinary environment.

Responsible for meeting creative briefs, honing design skills, and embracing feedback in collaborating to support our mission.

Engages across a range of projects, including branding and identity, print, digital, and OOH; and actively promotes and demonstrates the value of design in supporting our objectives.

  • Leads the creative process from conception through to delivery for a portfolio of projects spanning multiple areas and brands
  • Works with brand guidelines to grow the ecosystem of branded elements for our existing brands
  • Supports design work to refresh existing brands or launch new brands, providing a leading creative voice
  • Makes confident design decisions, ensuring others are brought along and are bought-in
  • Seeks and listens to feedback, building on it to refine ideas and push the work beyond the expected
  • Collaborates with other designers, copywriters, coordinators, and production vendors to apply ideas across a variety of media, ensuring design integrity and brand alignment in final deliverables
  • Delivers projects that display the highest level of creativity as well as respect for stakeholders’ needs, time, and production constraints
  • Manages prioritization across multiple deliverables
  • Inspires team members and stakeholders alike, earning their trust through ability to lead projects to delivery
  • Builds a wide network of collaborative relationships across brands and functions
  • Designs and leads workshops and presentations to scope projects, ideate concepts, or present design refinements, as a confident and respected creative expert
  • Explores new design tools, approaches, and trends, integrating new ideas to ensure our brands remain relevant
  • Pursues a strong understanding of our businesses’ strategies to inform design work, and vice-versa—finding new ways to solve business problems through design
  • Supports and guides teammates to foster a collaborative, safe, and creative environment where people assist each other in pursuit of excellence


Actively supports the achievement of SCAN’s Vision and Goals.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or very closely related field preferred
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating originality, flexibility, and exceptional taste across a variety of styles and media required
  • 5+ years of professional experience in design, preferably at an agency or an in-house creative team with significant experience as lead designer on projects and teams required
  • Experience with the design and evolution of visual identities required
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills including Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Affinity, InVision, and other relevant platforms
  • Experience in video editing, digital design, and motion design a plus
  • Contagiously positive attitude and an energizing team spirit; you are always ready to be of service
  • Openness to receiving and giving feedback, excellent listening skills and a keen sense of empathy
  • Ability to communicate conceptual ideas, detailed designs, and design rationale both verbally and visually, appealing to both emotion and reason with strong skills in persuasion and storytelling
  • Comfort with working independently and collaboratively, with diverse individuals from different backgrounds and with different perspectives
  • Ability to maintain composure under challenging situations, having the flexibility to rapidly pivot when unexpected changes occur
  • Strong intrinsic motivation driven by a passion to produce beautiful solutions that will help improve people’s lives
  • Ability to develop concepts that address the root cause and create a clear vision for solving the problem at hand
  • Curiosity and a demonstrated habit of continuous learning
  • Excellent time-management skills
