The DoD Senior Database Manager Administrator role requires 8 years of experience in the field with 4 or more years in a related complex data analytics environment as an individual contributor.

The DoD Senior Database Manager Administrator will be responsible for managing the administration of an organization's database. Analyzes the organization's database needs and develops a long-term strategy for data storage.

Establishes policies and procedures related to data security and integrity and monitors and limits database access as needed.

Oversees the design, maintenance and implementation of the systems that manage an internal database.

Reports to Program Manager and may manage subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs as a first level manager.

Ensures that project milestones/goals are met while adhering to approved budgets.

Familiarity with managing databases in a data analytics/unstructured data environment.

Minimum Education Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in information technology or a relevant related field.

A Master's degree or relevant certification may be substituted for 4 years of experience in the field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of DoD Data Standards such as the Air Force Data Services Reference Architecture.

• Experience supporting either the DoD Chief Data or Chief Software Offices

• Air Force PlatformONE or CloudONE experience
