Duties: The Senior Database Administrator is responsible for managing and supporting university-wide ERP application, file and database systems including the performance, integrity and security of those systems. In this role they are involved in installing, upgrading, cloning, and patching of ERP applications. They will plan and develop database architecture, logical and physical design, automation, documentation, installations, shell scripting, backup and recovery concepts, as well as the troubleshooting of any database performance or data integrity issues.
As a member of the IT Solutions (ITS) team, the Senior Database Administrator is expected to uphold the division's mission to "empower an agile, digital university and elevate technology as a strategic institutional asset" and contribute positively to a collaborative, human-centered, innovative, accountable, transparent, and inclusive culture within ITS. The performance evaluation is conducted through the performance evaluation system and in accordance with the University Policies & Procedures.
