Job Summary: Responsible for the overall design, development/enhancement, and maintenance of the enterprise-wide data warehouse and information delivery systems, which maps to the enterprise architecture and balances the need for access against security and performance requirements. Knowledgeable in most aspects of designing and constructing data architectures, operational data stores, and data marts. 
Essential Duties:

  • Design and build enterprise-wide data warehouse and information delivery systems, which maps to the enterprise architecture and balances the need for access against security and performance requirements. 
  • Responsible for enterprise-wide data modeling and database design.
  • Define data/information standards, policies and procedures for the organization, structure, attributes and nomenclature of data elements, and apply accepted data content standards to technology projects.
  • Identify inefficiencies and gaps in current data warehouse and leverage best practices in recommended solutions. 
  • Review and provide guidance to technical work of other team members.
  • Expert knowledge of ETL using SQL Server and SSIS
  • Facilitate consistent business analysis, data acquisition and access analysis and design, Database Management Systems optimization, archiving and recovery strategy, load strategy design and implementation, security and change management at the enterprise level.
  • Partners with business analysts, systems analysts and engineers in requirements gathering and reviews. 
  • Responsible for analyzing and translating business, information and technical requirements into an implementable design that achieve business objectives.
  • Translate strategic requirements into a usable enterprise information architecture, which may include an enterprise data model, associated metamodel, common business vocabulary, ontologies and taxonomies to be used to guide enterprise solution development and achieve consistency of information assets across the application portfolio. 
  • Accountable for data governance, quality and integrity of all data in the enterprise data warehouse.
  • Develop a metadata management and repository strategy to manage all enterprise information architecture project artifacts. 
  • Knowledgeable in most aspects of designing and constructing data architectures, operational data stores, and data marts.
  • Ensure existing data/information assets are identified, stewarded and leveraged across the enterprise.
  • Produce database/architecture documentation and technical specifications for the ETL programs to implement data warehouse and BI platforms. 
  • Is the key representative at all times for his/her service lines and maintains active engagement with IT partners, customers, vendors, and IT operational, technical, and PMO groups.
  • Maintain active engagement with users, BPOs, and vendors to understand current/future business needs, document pain points, service drivers, etc.
  • Communicates status to customers and BPOs on projects, major incidents, problems, etc. related to his/her service lines.
  • Participates with IT technical management and operational groups in the acquisition of technology to meet service needs.
  • Assist the IT partners to help the business determine future IT enhancements and how to adjust to technology and service changes anticipated in the future.
  • Researches and maintains knowledge in emerging technologies and solutions to solve business problems.

MinimumRequiredEducation andExperience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Skills andExperience:

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Requires an understanding of emerging regulatory issues (e.g., consumer privacy laws, outsourced data and specific industry guidelines such as HIPAA) to develop internal and external checks and controls to ensure proper governance, security and quality of information assets.
  • Knowledgeable in most aspects of designing and constructing data architectures, operational data stores, and data marts. 
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to listen and communicate well both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to obtain proper security clearances as noted by contracts.
  • Experience with MS SQL Server and SQL Server Integration Services
