ABOUT THE JOB
The Jewish Board is currently seeking a Senior Data Specialist to provide expertise for the broader adoption of advanced analytical techniques, and to lead high impact analytics initiatives. The Senior Data Specialist will develop, implement and validate advanced algorithms, statistical and mathematical models to identify high-risk patients that can benefit from relevant connected health interventions. This role will work with large and complex datasets including claims, electronic medical record data, and will apply a variety of advanced analytical techniques including predictive modeling, data mining, machine learning, clustering, classification techniques, and optimization algorithms to demonstrate the impact of connected health. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Analyzing large and complex datasets; utilizing advanced analytical techniques including data mining, clustering, classification techniques to identify patterns in un/structured data; Working with various data sources, including connected health devices, claims, and electronic medical record data
- Leading the development of quantitative models, including predictive models and risk prediction algorithms for chronic diseases management, decision analytic models, etc.; researching designs, hypothesis testing and exploratory data analysis; designing analytical plan and initiatives to evaluate the impact of connected health solutions
- Mentors junior data analysts
- Performs other duties as assigned
TO QUALIFY
The Jewish Board is currently looking for talented nurses of all cultures, religions, races, and gender expressions with the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, Computer Science/IT, or related field; or equivalent experience in related field
- Experience in an ambulatory care setting or an equivalent combination of education and health care technology experience is preferred; candidates with experience in complex healthcare technology implementations is a plus
- Advanced analytical skills including predictive modeling, data mining, machine learning, clustering, classification techniques, and optimization algorithms, and using preferred statistical software or analytical/BI software
- Must possess skills in project management, business and clinical process redesign
