Position Summary

Provide expertise in design, implementation, and maintenance of relational and object oriented databases using supported enterprise IT platforms and guidelines. Develop and maintain complex SQL queries based on business requirements. Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate SQL. Tune SQL Queries for optimal performance. Provide peer review of code/scripts. Monitor and tune departmental data warehouse environment. Build robust scripts and/or ETL workflows to transform and move data to/from departmental data warehouse environment. Maintain environment and data access security. Provide analytical, technical and professional mentorship to Analytics Data Engineer Analysts and Associates.


Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Comp Sci, Comp Eng or similar plus five years’ progressive experience in job offered or five years’ progressive experience as Senior Oracle Applications DBA, Oracle DBA/Developer or similar in relational database management systems (Oracle/Microsoft SQL Server), data wrangling with SQL, R, Python, and comparable scripting languages, and interacting with/extracting data from modern web APIs. Required skills: Expert level experience with complex SQL queries for business requirements; Extensive experience with relational database management systems, including Oracle/Microsoft SQL Server; Expert data wrangling skills with SQL, R, Python, or other scripting language; Detailed knowledge of non-relational data structures and modern big data technologies. Experience interacting with and extracting data from modern web APIs; Data visualization experience in business intelligence tools (Tableau, R/Shiny, SAP Products); Demonstrated experience in quality assurance and UAT; Strong technical writing and presentation skills
