Job Description

The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Cyber Security Specialist (Level 4) to join the dynamic team in Aurora, CO

 

This position requires an active Top Secret/SCI/SSBI U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

 

As a Senior Cyber Security Specialist (Level 4) the successful candidate will be  responsible for applying an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced information system security solutions.

 

The roles and responsibilities of the position may include, but are not limited to:

  • Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
  • Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.
  • Completed work is reviewed for desired results from a relatively long-term perspective.
  • Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
  • Identifies assets and assesses risks, threats, and vulnerabilities of the product assets in accordance with accepted industry, professional, and government standards to ensure security design integrity, availability, confidentiality and contract compliance.
  • Evaluates the remediation recommendations and develops a cost to mitigate estimate.
  • Employs system security processes, methods, and tools and assures their consistent application.
  • Performs complex tasks without direction and provided leadership/direction to less experienced people.
  • Resolves cross-functional technical issues. Implements appropriate Accreditation and Authorization activities per JSIG, DoD RMF, ICD 503, NISPOM, or DoD Overprint to the NISPOM as required by customers.
  • Coordinates with network engineers, test and validation engineers and program management on security related activities and requirements.
  • Some travel (25%) will be required for meetings with customers, internal meetings, etc.
  • Works under minimal direction.

Additional duties:

  • Leads and conducts vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of target systems and environments for multiple and undefined interfaces. Performs assessment planning.
  • Analyzes architecture and system functionality for a broad range of technologies.
  • Configures and conducts automated scanning and manual testing. Evaluates system security configurations.
  • Performs exploit analysis and authors exploitation tools/techniques.
  • Evaluates findings and conducts root cause analysis.
  • Reviews or prepares and presents technical reports and briefings.
  • Leads customer remediation reviews.
  • May specialize in a technology or testing approach.

Qualifications

Typical Experience/Education: Technical bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 7 or more years' or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four yeardegree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • This position requires an active Top Secret/SCI/SSBI U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) education
  • Experience assessing and documenting test or analysis data to show cybersecurity compliance
  • DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level III or higher (such as CISSP, CASP, CE, CISA, GCED, or GCIH
