Halfaker has an opening for a Senior Cyber Engineer to join our talented, dynamic team. The key responsibilities for this position include:

Provides scrum-based engineering services to develop SecOps products and services used by the multiple teams, including a Security Operations CenterFollows a full DevSecOps model to build/test/deploy products described in the overarching CMS Cloud Product Roadmap in support of site reliability engineering (SRE) concepts
Perform operational support for tickets
Performs security audits, risk analysis, application-level vulnerability testing, and security code reviews
Develops and implements technical solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities
Conducts research to identify new attack vectors

Required Skills

Demonstrated experience serving as the security engineer of complex technology implementations in a product-centric environment
Demonstrated full stack engineering experience supporting cloud services (e.g., CI/CD pipeline)
Able to bridge the gap between legacy development or operations teams and working toward a shared culture and vision
Works tirelessly to ensure help developers create secure systems while enhancing the privacy of all system users
Excellent writing skills, attention to detail
Excellent oral communication and presentation skills
Highly motivated, ability to take initiative
Ability to delegate work appropriately and manage time effectively for self and others
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Highly analytical; proven problem-solving abilities
Willingness and enthusiasm to learn new skills, new client environments, and grow domain expertise
Ability to conduct independent research to lead or support the resolution of complex questions and issues
Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting

Required Experience

Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience
6 years of related work experience
Demonstrated experience as a security engineer
