Johns Manville is currently seeking candidates for the position of Senior Accounting Analyst within the Corporate Accounting organization in Denver, CO. The purpose of this position, in addition to performing corporate accounting and business analysis and support, is to play a key role in ensuring financial systems operate effectively.
Applicants can expect to make between $74,000 to $110,000 upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for a target incentive bonus under our variable incentive plan.
This position is eligible for a flexible work arrangement in which, by way of example, an employee's work week may include both some days at the employee's assigned company work location and some workdays performed remotely from the employee's home. The schedule of remote work will be based on business and work needs as determined by management.
Corporate Accounting Responsibilities:
Coordinate, communicate and monitor monthly and annual global closing schedules and tasks
Intercompany balance sheet account reconciliations and settlement
Reserve account reconciliations, reporting and management
Reconcile and prepare journals for other miscellaneous employee benefits
BlackLine account reconciliation tool system administrator
Special projects as required including GAAP to Statutory reconciliations
Controls assessment, documentation, and reporting
Finance ERP Administrator:
Process North America plant close, global financial close, and generate financial statements
ERP problem identification and resolution, and system improvements in conjunction with IT in a multi-currency system.
Train and support finance personnel with journal entry processing, SAP system functionality and BlackLine reconciliation procedures
Ensure the accuracy of financial information entered into the system and test new feature of the system as they are implemented to verify the accuracy of financial procedures
What You Bring to the Team:
BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
Minimum 7 years' experience in finance/accounting
Detailed knowledge of ERP systems with an understanding of the financial close process
Sound understanding of U.S. generally accepted accounting standards and internal controls
Expert MS Excel knowledge and ability
Solid Windows operating system experience or equivalent application systems experience.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proven analytical skills
Strong decision-making and problem resolution skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks.
Solid organizational skills
Solid interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
Additional Consideration Provided to Candidates Who Have:
SAP -- FI_CO experience
Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) experience
FASB ASC 606 and ASC 842 knowledge
Familiarity with plant cost accounting procedures
Financial audit experience
Experience in preparing benefit plan financial statements
External reporting (SEC)
Manufacturing finance experience
