This is an exciting opportunity in Columbus, IN for a Senior Controls Performance Engineer.
Manage workflow of Controls Performance (Air-Handling Control, Virtual Sensor, and associated Diagnostics) tuning for multiple engine programs within the specified program schedule.
Perform tuning work for Controls Performance deliverables and manage/review tuning of other Controls Performance engineers supporting the programs.
Conduct technical Deep Dives communicating feature performance to cross-functional program teams, present Design Review material to program team in support of calibration releases, and document results against Technical Profile deliverables.
Support engine programs by investigating/troubleshooting issues in test cell, truck, and field test units.
Provide technical support to the programs on hardware & software improvements based on needed capability.
Use of mathematic models and computer aided engineering/scientific design tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, MATH CAD etc to simulate steady state, dynamic and transient operation of an electrical machine.
Understanding the principles of electric circuit theory.
Uses embedded software design appropriately as part of work. Understands the underlying principles, techniques, and procedures. Creates appropriate design documentation for review.
Tuning and validating OBD diagnostics.
Controls System software & tuning.
Thermodynamics understanding and application.
Engine System or Component performance/testing.
Education, Licenses, Certifications
Master’s Degree in Mechanical or ElectricalEngineering with 3years of experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or ElectricalEngineering with 5years of experience

Salary commensurate with experience plus bonus.
