Are you a Contracts professional with a proven track record who enjoys collaboratively crafting creative and strategic business agreements to exceed company business growth goals? Do you thrive on leading a team in negotiations through all contracting phases across a variety of “outside the norm” contracts? If this describes you, you may be a great fit for our Senior Contracts Administrator role within the Antenna Systems Business Area in support of satellite communications hardware design, development, production and associated software.
Using your proactive and professional communication skills, you will advise business leaders and coordinate across both internal and external teams using your keen analytical skills to resolve issues in a variety of complex situations. You will collaboratively provide input on contractual approaches, protection of intellectual property, and contract interpretation. As an expert in your field, you will adeptly assess and advise management on contractual risks and support customer requests through strategic and timely proposal input and development/negotiation of agreements (NDA, Teaming, OEM/Software License, etc.). You will examine proposal and contract requirements in detail, including verification of basis of estimates, assumptions, contingencies, compliance, risk mitigation and associated performance related dependencies. This position involves a collective mix of international, commercial, and US Government DOD contracting with a keen attention to the protection of intellectual property and includes firm fixed price, cost plus and T&M contracts. As the liaison between Viasat and the customer, you will be empowered to propose, prepare and negotiate contracts that provide creative solutions to solve unique problems.
