Responsible for leading the messaging, positioning, and development of a broad range of marketing collateral and communications to support the sales of Life and Annuity products for Protective Life Insurance Company. Supports various distribution channels including Independent Marketing Organizations, Affinity Partners, Broker-Dealers, and Financial Institutions. This role includes concept development of all marketing materials in support of sales, marketing, distribution, and corporate initiatives. Serves as a senior member of the content marketing team.
Creates and leads the creation of compelling, engaging content across all print and digital channels. This could include email marketing campaigns, direct mail, white papers, newsletters, literature, websites, social media, etc. All content will support our brand and the entire sales cycle.
Provides creative direction, ensuring that creative solutions are appropriate for the targeted audience, meet specific criteria, reflect brand standards & are consistent with strategic marketing goals.
Develops recommendations and presents ideas to stakeholders and other executives.
Leads the creation of content strategies that support go-to-market plans.
Maintains a high level of knowledge about products, positioning, benefits, and features as well as a detailed understanding of target audiences including distribution and consumers.
Elevates the skills of the content team through sharing best practices and mentoring.
Performs other duties as assigned.

10+ years experience in business-to-business content development. Experience with financial services a plus.
Bachelor’s degree preferred, with a concentration in journalism, public relations, marketing, communications, or related discipline.
Demonstrated ability to create content for various mediums.
Knowledge of sales and marketing processes, as well as investment products and services, is a plus.
Experience messaging, positioning, execution, and delivery of content, providing creative direction and tracking progress against objectives.
Ability to communicate highly technical subject matter to non-technical audiences.
Ability to manage multiple high visibility, high urgency projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Ability to effectively communicate ideas, both technical and creative, in a clear, focused, and concise manner.
