The Sr. Construction Project Manager will be responsible for directing and executing all design, construction and startup activities of Cambria’s commercial real estate assets throughout North America. This Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects in all sectors of the construction environment; distribution, industrial, retail and office, and for planning and executing both new & ground up construction developments and renovations of existing facilities.
You will be responsible for managing and contracting design consultants, contractors and material suppliers. Internally, this role will be the project lead responsible for engaging, deploying and scheduling Cambria’s employees and resources to execute projects on schedule and must have experience working on multiple projects in a variety of delivery phases.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee all project execution activities from real estate hand off through design, construction and opening
Develop, track and forecast budgets to inform investment decision
Directly oversee and be accountable for all construction activities and schedules
Develop and manage relationships with design consultants, contractors and material suppliers
Consistently execute on and keep organized all aspects of construction administration processes
Assist leadership in site selection, investment allocation and schedule
Assign and manage work to direct reports and business units
Experience as lead project manager singularly responsible for scope, schedule and budget
Experience leading ground up construction projects
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, in a variety of phases (i.e. startup, turnover, in process)
Experience managing projects throughout the United States
A desire to take the lead of a team and make progress towards a goal
Demonstrated ease of converting complicated problems into easy to understand solutions
Resilience to work through complicated, rigorous, long term projects
Ability to “see the big picture” and apply this to decision making
Deep interest in commercial real estate, design methodologies and delivery methods
Experience working in all phases of a commercial real estate project
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Experience: 10+ years of Commercial Construction Experience, 5+ Years Construction Project Manager
Systems: Microsoft Office, Google Suite
Managerial Responsibilities: Yes
Travel Requirements: Yes, ability to travel across the United States and Canada without restriction (20% - 50%)
Physical Requirements: Ability to travel for extended periods of time across the United State and Canada, without restriction. Ability to work a varied, undefined work schedule as required
