Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and motivated Senior Construction Manager for immediate employment in the New York, NY office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing administration of projects during the construction cycle, including technical, financial, and client engagement/satisfaction
  • Coordinating with the sub-contracted engineering disciplines and being accountable for the development, coordination, and execution of all planning, design and/or construction activities in the field
  • Providing overall management activities and overseeing personnel under his/her direction on a day-to-day basis
  • Responsible for management of client hired construction sub-contractors as well as AECOM subs
  • Developing procedures for monitoring the progression of planning, design and construction phases
  • Manage client requested and/or unforeseen change order processes
  • Preparing reports for company and client management, documenting project scope, schedule, and budget progress. Develop monthly Estimate at Completion spreadsheets and budgeting forecasts
  • Overseeing contractors to ensure compliance with project plan and specifications, monitor quality of work, craftsmanship, and materials used on-site
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently at one site

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor 's degree in related field or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience
  • 10+ years of experience in construction management or management of direct reports
  • High level understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Must possess a valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Primavera
  • Professional Engineer License preferred but not required
  • Project Management Institute Certification preferred but not required
  • OSHA Certification (10 and/or 30 Hour)
  • Experience at NYC DEP WWTP sites
  • Familiar with E-Builder project management software program
  • Experience with Combined Heat & Power systems is a plus
