Position: Senior Consolidations and Reporting Analyst

Position Summary

As part of the Corporate Finance team, the Senior Consolidations and Reporting Analyst plays a key role in the monthly close, consolidation and reporting for a global media conglomerate.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Load financial data submitted by operating units into Hyperion Financial Management Consolidations System (HFM) via Hyperion Financial Data Management (FDM)

  • Reconcile data loaded in HFM to operating unit management reports

  • Issue consolidated and operating unit Flash reports (Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow) to management

  • Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and annual management reports

  • Prepare and record Management/GAAP consolidation journal entries in HFM

  • Review Inter-company Balances and resolve differences

  • Perform Retained Earnings roll forward and resolve differences

  • Perform variance analysis on operating units’ results and obtain explanations for significant fluctuations

  • Maintain books and records for certain Corporate entities

  • Prepare certain monthly balance sheet account reconciliations/roll forward schedules

  • Assist in the preparation and review of quarterly GAAP Financial Statements

  • Provide support for external auditor requests

Critical Competencies for Success:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting

  • CPA or equivalent

  • Proven track record of success in Accounting, Consolidations, or Financial Reporting role

  • Impeccable personal and professional integrity and ethical values

  • High standard of accuracy, attention to detail, highly organized

  • A team player with the desire, determination and ability to drive process improvements and efficiencies.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong Excel; HFM/Hyperion a plus
