PRIMARY DUTIES:

This individual must have a background in electronics and/or an understanding of techniques, materials and construction of some or all of the following commodity types: integrated circuits and hybrids, RF/Microwave devices, discrete semiconductors and passive devices, all of which are used in high reliability space system applications.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Development of part specifications and test procedures for MIL and space level parts. Experience with qualification and screening of PEMs is a plus.
  • Assist in part selection and obsolescence review. Understanding of IHS parts management and GIDEP is a plus.
  • Provide technical assistance to contracted tests labs and part manufacturers
  • Provide customer applications assistance
  • Review electrical test data to verify part / lot acceptability
  • Coordinate with internal Procurement and Quality Assurance departments to assure quality and on-time delivery

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10 years related experience working with space/military parts and applications
  • Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, Physics or equivalent field
  • Background in applications and failure analysis
  • Significant experience with U.S. MIL and NASA specifications as they relate to military and space level parts
  • Proven track record in providing excellent customer service and a commitment to quality
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Windows environment, specifically MS Word and Excel
  • Team oriented self starter
  • Able to work independently
  • No clearance required
