Workday is looking for an experienced Senior Compliance & Risk Analyst in our Global Payroll and Stock Administration department who wants to make their mark on a growing organization.  The ideal candidate is a self-starter, problem solver, great communicator and enjoys collaborating with people with a diverse set of talents, in a dynamic fast-pace environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of global payroll and stock administration compliance efforts
  • Develop and maintain internal practices to support global compliance initiatives of the Payroll and Stock Admin teams
  • Develop and maintain risk compliance matrix
  • Manage plan for mitigating risk and communicate plan with leadership
  • Partner with various teams across the organization to help ensure compliance with privacy and security, labor laws, employment tax, cross-border strategies, expatriates, and others
  • Maintain data processing and data transfer compliance by partnering with the internal and external teams to ensure personal data among entities and countries is in accordance with Workday’s policies
  • Ensure federal, state / province, local, social, etc. employment tax compliance, including quarterly accrual review
  • Coordinate and assist with employment, benefit, and workercompensationaudits
  • Perform global employment taxation research for benefits / programs
  • Coordinate expat / inpat taxation discussions in partnership with Global Mobility department
  • Partner with accounting team to ensure appropriate accrual and cross-company expense for expatriates
  • Consult with internal legal counsel when necessary to address risk prioritization and conflicting guidance
  • Own & maintain SOXRisk Control Matrix and process diagrams
  • Develop and maintain internal sampling to ensure ongoing SOX compliance
  • Manage SOC1 reports and respective memos required for SOX
  • Assess system functionality to ensure compliance with current legislation
  • Review tax treaties to ensure proper allocation of wages
  • Assist with wage allocation guidelines for multi-state, cross-border workers

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Legal or other similar discipline, or related experience (10+ years)
  • 5+ years monitoring employment, tax, labor, etc. compliance
  • CPP, CPA, CEP, GMS or other related certification preferred
  • Experience collaborating with and leading cross-functional teams
  • Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills across various levels of an organization
  • Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment, and thoughtful assertiveness
