Zillow Group is excited to hire an expert Sr. Compensation Business Partner located at our headquarters in Seattle. This role will act as a lead across the team to help build standard methodologies, demonstrate expert engagement and consultation, and execute new compensation programs designed to support Zillow's dynamic and growing business. You'll embody and practice our core leadership principles daily and are collaborative by nature. You will also use your strong and clear communication skills to tell meaningful stories using data to influence decisions, make our people processes/practices smarter and more efficient, and elevate our partner experiences. It will be important that you cultivate relationships across Zillow Group brands, within all levels of the organization.About the role

  • Primary compensation partner for HR and leadership within a defined line of business, supporting strategic organizational change and ensuring compensation strategies are closely aligned with philosophy
  • Utilize your consulting and compensation experience to empower recruiting, hiring managers, and HR business partners with essential compensation expertise needed to keep pace with bold business goals
  • Build dashboards which bring HR and our centers of excellence consumable, actionable insights enabling data driven decision making by the business
  • Develop compensation program design and streamline compensation processes while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Design and build informative tools which anticipate the needs of Compensation, HR, and our clients
  • Innovative uses of market research to validate and propose current / future compensation practices

Who you are

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, Finance, Business Administration with 8-10 years of experience in Compensation or a relevant field (Masters or CCP preferred)
  • Prefer tech or financial services industry experience to support our critical business divisions
  • Strong customer and partnership focus with a team-oriented spirit
  • Critical thinker, connecting end to end processes and impacts in order to ensure successful delivery of projects and initiatives
  • Visible leader – sharing learnings, experience, and expertise to make the team stronger, together
  • Advanced Excel and HR programs/systems knowledge - prior experience with Workday is highly preferred
  • Active participant in the Compensation community of professionals across AON, SHRM, Willis Towers Watson, Mercer, The Conference Board, etc.
  • Excellent writing skills and critical understanding of the use of communication mediums to achieve successful business outcomes and build solid relationships
