We are looking for a Senior Global Commodity Manager- Electronics to help us achieve our goals. In this position, you would work within the Honeywell Corporate Electronics-EMS Centre of Excellence (EECoE) in supporting our Honeywell Aerospace (AER) strategic business unit working on strategic procurement initiatives.

You will be responsible for developing, communicating, and executing the commodity strategy throughout the organizations by planning, organizing, and controlling strategic activities surrounding the acquisition of electronics for Honeywell Aerospace including management of key supplier relationships and contract negotiations. You will work closely with the EECoE CommodityManagers, and business units Operations, Engineering, and Product Management teams as they work to implement Supply Chain Management strategies that are competitive enablers for our business, by providing the highest performing and lowest total cost of ownership supply solutions. You will ensure compliance with company business policies and procedures, and export / import regulations. Up to 30% travel may be required.

Responsibilities include:

Managing performance, commercial terms and strategic relationships with selected EMS suppliers.

Development & execution of Annual Operating Plan (AOP) covering productivity, delivery, quality, and lead time improvement for selected commodities

Executing successful supplier transitions and implementing consignment, stocking, and 3PL solutions with suppliers to improve overall supply flexibility and responsiveness.

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Materials Management, or a technical field
  • 5 years of experience in commodity management to include source selection, new product procurement, cost savings, international sourcing & value analysis
  • 2 years of procurement or commodity management experience in Electronics/Electronics Manufacturing Services


  • Extensive experience in strategic sourcing and/or procurement
  • Commodity management experience of Semiconductors, Passives &/or distribution sourcing
  • Working and/or Leading in Matrix and complex Team Environments
  • Project Management and/or Contract Management Experience
  • Strong communication and leadership skills dealing with a global cross-functional team
  • People management & development
  • Stellar negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated strategic planning and execution
  • Professional Certifications in Project/Supply Chain / Procurement/Contract Management
  • Team Leader experience in Supply Management / Sourcing / Procurement / Financial measurement analysis and make vs buy determination analysis
  • Demonstrated Business and financial acumen
  • Interpersonal relationship skills
  • Experience with Six Sigma and Lean Tools
  • Advanced Degree
