Job Summary:


The Sr. Solutions Consultant role offers a unique opportunity to blend practitioner or consulting experience in purchasing, accounts payable, and accounting with sales acumen, process improvement, commercial card and payments products expertise. The Sr. Solutions Consultant will enhance the commercial card sales process by partnering with Treasury Relationship Managers, Card Account Managers and clients, and will serve as a liaison between Product Management, Technology, Commercial Card Onboarding and Vendor Enablement partners. The Sr. Solutions Consultant is responsible for uncovering opportunities within client's purchasing and payables processes to improve operational efficiencies and/or working capital by leveraging the full spectrum of commercial card and payables solutions.They will lead solution design sessions with clients to include process design of accounting, reporting and technical requirements, supplier engagement strategy - including payment term negotiations, and stay engaged throughout implementation. Solutions Consultant will work with Card Account Managers and existing Card program clients to optimize and grow programs.



Major Responsibilities



  • Join Treasury Relationship Managers and Card Account Managers in discussions with prospects or clients in order to validate the business needs, architect the solution set and present the offering.
  • Engage client to understand current and future needs to sell solutions that ensure client satisfaction. Leverage internal resources, industry knowledge and personal experience to identify account expansion opportunities. Assist TRM, CAM and TA to prepare RFP's, proposals and presentation materials for prospects and customers.
  • Perform spend data analysis including demand fulfillment channels, and provide insights to clients and TRM's around opportunities to improve processes and introduce cards into the purchasing channels and leverage E-Payables tools to grow spend, rebate and working capital access.
  • Collaborate with internal and external/vendor partners to develop and drive specific client acquisition strategies, with a particular focus on larger opportunities and E-Payables adoption.
  • Maintain industry knowledge and expert status; remain current with internal and external product development and innovations.
  • Manage and drive the dissemination of client insights, competitive information, solution enhancement requests and solution updates to appropriate internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the sales pipeline for your assigned segments/industry verticals, keeping pulse on opportunities activities and stages; report as needed to internal leadership and vendor partners.
  • Ensure sharing and implementing of best practices across the Transaction Banking sales organizations.
  • Work with the Implementation and Vendor Enablement teams to provide guidance and consultation in delivering the proposed solution and vendor enablement strategy properly.
  • Experience in procurement, category management, process design, materials management, effective sourcing, contract negotiation and deployment of commercial card products strongly desired.



Additional Requirements



  • Position requires a degree from a four-year college (e.g. B.A., B.S.), MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate purchasing, accounts payable, card administration, card issuer sales, implementation or consulting
  • In-depth knowledge of operational working capital processes and impacts on organizations
  • Experience working with large scale ERP, Accounting and Procurement software packages Working knowledge of advanced outside sales and marketing techniques, bank lending policies and practices, bank operations and services, federal and state banking regulations
  • Vendor Risk Management, CRM, Core Banking systems knowledge
  • Proficient in multiple standard business software applications including Business Object, MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Project
  • Ability to quickly establish rapport, credibility, trust, and respect throughout the organization and viewed as a team player??
  • Ability to work independently and with all levels of management within and outside of TBA?
