Senior Commercial Manager Human Nutrition & Health (HNH)
To help drive a more strategic externally focused Commercial Management function in North America, DSM Nutritional Products Human Nutrition and Health has created a Commercial Manager role focusing on commercial excellence across all product families and business segments. This position will lead and shape our regional product strategy/implementation and work on key process improvements in addition to other strategic projects.
We are looking for a Senior Commercial Manager in our Parsippany, NJ location to provide regional strategic analysis and guidance regarding where and how to grow across regional markets and product offerings by working across businesses to evaluate where and how to grow based on competitive dynamics and value proposition of DSM Human Nutrition and Health (HNH) portfolio.
In the role of Senior Commercial Manager HNH, you will:
Initiate and lead implementation commercial strategy for the regional product portfolio
Work with a complex supply chain of products
Engage externally with customers to promote relationship-building initiatives including forecast exchange and inventory/fulfilment strategies
Provide strategic support and direction to organization regarding where and how to grow across all regional businesses and product families
Develop monthly sales reports stating status of business by product family and customer with the ability to communicate any deviations or fluctuations that will impact the business.
Implement the global strategy regionally
Research and report current market conditions for each product family and be internal expert on competitive activities
Work with market development managers on the coordination and communication of product launches
Execute demand management analyses for select Global Key Accounts as directed
What we look for in you:
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA a plus
Minimum 5 years work experience required
Minimum 3 years of experience in price strategy, sales and/or product management experience required
Strong collaboration skills and a willingness to work with others needed
Excellent problem solving and root cause analysis skills necessary
Solid knowledge of the food, beverage and/or dietary supplement industries required
Strategic commercial experience, in building models to understand the market, developing value propositions, developing market/customer segmentation, developing and executing a strategy in M&S, Account management
Good leadership skills
Team builder/ability to lead a team even if not direct reports
Strategic thinking with ability to translate into tactical plans
Good communicator (written and oral) at many levels of the organization
Ability to work cross-functionality
Structured and organized
Ability to deal with ambiguity
Ability to make & take decisions
