About the Role

A Top 50 independent, privately held insurance brokerage has a path laid out for you to be a senior client service manager and assume team leadership duties…if you want it! The foundation for realizing this long-term vision is the nature of the practice you'll join. Transportation is a nationally recognized vertical. You will walk into a tactical role, Senior Commercial Insurance Account Manager, handling national accounts with exposures that require a deep understanding of alternative risk funding.

Duties & Responsibilities

As Account Manager you manage the client lifecycle:

  • Coordinate & direct resources- Claims, Legal, Safety, Marketing & Technology
  • Trend, stratify and analyze client data
  • Manage suite of services purchased by the client
  • Lead creation of materials for reoccurring client meetings; present during the delivery to client as needed


Service Leadership– Provide training, mentoring and guidance to peers and less experienced service associates. Strength product knowledge within the team on handling large accounts and alternative funding strategies.

Skills & Experience

  • At least five (5) years in commercial insurance client service as a Sr. Account Manager or Account Executive
  • Large account or risk management proficiency ($100k+ commission accounts)
  • State insurance license


Job Specs

Transportation and/or trucking insurance background is not required. The agency will teach the nuances of the niche if you're interested in pivoting to a new specialty. What is required is exposure to Alternative Risk Transfer (ART), captives, large deductible plans or Self-Insured Retention.

Location: Remote, work-at-home role unless open to relocation to Denver, Dallas or Chicago. Expect travel to meet with clients and training/team building in the home office.

Compensation & Perks

Target salary range is $90k-$110k + annual bonus, comprehensive benefits and PTO package
