As a client engagement manager, you will be responsible for identifying and building new business. You will be expected to reframe the client’s thinking and build consensus for Microchip’s solutions, co-creating value by delivering clients the freedom to innovate.

This position is located in Kansas City, KS

Job Responsibilities

This Client Engagement Manager will be responsible for the identification of opportunities within the Kansas City and surrounding territory, will communicate and coordinate the business opportunities with key stakeholders within Microchip. Will coordinate and execute total solutions to grow sales at key clients and emerging clients.

Specific responsibilities are as follows:

  • Develops new prospects and interacts with existing and new clients to increase sales of an organization's products and/or services.
  • Designs and recommends sales programs and sets short- and long-term sales strategies.
  • Evaluates and implements appropriate new sales techniques to increase the department's sales volume.
  • May recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential in various end markets.
  • Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Acts as advisor to sales support team regarding projects, tasks, and operations related to responsible region and market.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent. A degree in engineering or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales
  • Experience in complex selling of hardware, software and service product offerings.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and track record of success in sales.
  • Experience in Large Account Management and Strategic Sales.
  • Experience with channel management (Distribution, Manufacturer's Representatives and Value Added Resellers) preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint).
  • Must be self-starter and be able to initiate and complete tasks with minimum supervision.
  • Must have strong communication, presentation and organizational skills.
  • Position requires periodic travel.
