Position Summary:

This position requires review of lead insurer's claims handling, setting reserves and paying AIG's share of settlements.
Performance Objectives:

The position involves monitoring multi-line insurance claims ranging from simple 1st party hull losses, to complex liability and coverage matters. There will be very limited travelrequired to attend claims reviews and reepresent AIG. Candidates will note and document claims files with reports and information received from lead insurers or brokers, ensure file reserves are monitored and maintained based on facts and information received, pay settlements or expenses according to processes and procedures, and assist management with other tasks as required. Candidates interact closely with lead adjusters, brokers, underwriters, and senior management

Position Requirements:
The Ideal Candidate Should Have:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.

Minimum of 5+ years of insurance claim adjusting experience (Aviation experience strongly preferred).
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. 
Ability to read and understand technical issues and problem solve.
Strong decision making skills and the ability to reason. 

An aptitude for learning and adapting.

Ability to explain technical issues and problem solve. 
Self motivated, ability to manage time and prioritize.
A willingness to assist teammates and work with minimal supervision, as well as potentially support other departments. 
Ability to speak in public forums to current and prospective clients.

Computer proficiency with an aptitude for both common and specialized claims systems programs and applications. 

An understanding of 1st and 3rd party insurance coverage.
