*** Identify and assess coverage issues, draft coverage position letters, and retain coverage counsel.
*** Be alert to insurance fraud and implement special procedures if possible fraud is detected.
*** Analyze coverage, liability and damages to assess and recommend reserves and revise case reserves based on developments in the course of adjusting the claim.
*** Develop and implement a strategy to resolve matters of liability and damages in accordance with contractual obligations.
*** Maintain contact with the insured, underwriter, primary adjuster, reinsurers and counsel.
