Senior Buyer in West Chester, PA

Job Summary:

The Senior Buyer will be responsible for the establishment of strategic sourcing initiatives, execution for assigned commodities, and work as a liaison between vendors and plants

Key aspects of the position will be domestic and global sourcing, standardization, vendor and cost management, improved quality performance, and reduced total cost of purchased components.

Participate in the establishment of annual strategic sourcing plans.

Engage with suppliers on a frequent basis regarding KPIs for OTD, Quality and Cost.

Travel up to 10% domestic.

Qualifications/Expertise:

BS Degree,

APICS certification and CPM certification desirable.

3+ of purchasing in for multi-site manufacturing company

Advanced Excel skills

Excellent written, negotiation skills

*The ideal candidate has five years in Purchasing serving as the bridge between a Strategic Sourcing Group that does centralized commodity purchasing and multiple manufacturing sites.

Experience with metals purchasing for manufacturing is highly preferred.
