  DEPARTMENT:  Supply Chain Systems   JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA), a member of the Information Services organization, will provide systems support for supply chain planning applications during Analysis, Design, Testing, and Deployment phases of the OneVision Oracle EBS project tracks.  This role will act as the liaison between the Global Supply Chain and Information Services teams, with primary responsibility to ensure the supply chain applications support supply chain and operations business processes, meet functional requirements, system compliance requirements, and interface specifications. The BSA will perform auditing of technical design solutions proposed by the Development team, and will be responsible for testing of new code development

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Work closely with the Global Supply Chain team to document user requirements and translate these requirements into specifications that will be provided to the application development team for issue fixes and functional enhancements.
  • Consider business implications of the application of technology to the business environment.  Define functional and system requirements, and create proper documentation of solutions and configuration specifications.
  • Lead requirements analysis/documentation, design documentation, business process analysis/documentation, configuration, testing strategy, systems administration, and maintenance. 
  • Develop effective test scenarios, scripts, and use cases with consideration for cross-functional and process stream impact.
  • Analyze test results to identify and resolve defects, bugs, errors, configuration irregularities, and interoperability flaws.
  • Demonstrate communication fluency with users and find and resolve the root cause of problems.  Develop and implement methods to prevent similar issues from happening in the future.
  • Identify ongoing opportunities and approaches for automating routine processes to enhance effectiveness of the Global Supply Chain team.
  • Oversee individual projects and/or tasks and phases of larger projects.  Responsible for coordinating activities of teams, schedules and resources for assigned tasks or projects.  Develop, publish, and coordinate implementation activities for software releases.
  • Implement new locations within the planning software from both functional and technical perspectives.  Able to communicate effectively with worldwide staff.
  • Effectively work with external consultants to troubleshoot issues with planning software.
  • Lead meetings for informational sessions and training to ensure that end users are equipped with the understanding of standard system tools.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Highly knowledgeable in both CVI’s  business processes and information systems that support the global supply chain planning processes
  • Minimum five years of experienceworking with Oracle EBS for Order Management, Inventory, or Purchasing modules.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, with extensive knowledge and experience in handling large datasets in Microsoft Excel
  • Understanding of how information systems support global supply chain operations
  • Experience with enterprise supply chain planning or optimization software required
  • Experience with the Logility Voyager Demand Planning, Logility Voyager Replenishment Planning, or Logility Adaplink application highly desired
  • Basic SQL skills required
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to effectively translate between functional and technical teams
  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Normal office environment
  • Sedentary to light physical effort necessary to perform the job
  • Extensive contact with employees and external business partners and vendors
  • Travel (25%), off-hour meetings, some weekends

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Technology or Computer Science or equivalent experience is required
  • APICS – Certification in Production & Inventory Management (CPIM) preferred

EXPERIENCEMinimum of 5years ofexperiencewith supply chain and/or purchasing related modules of Oracle E-business suite (EBS)

  • Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience with supply chain planning and/or optimization software solutions
  • Experience using Baan, Oracle EBS, or other equivalent ERP systems
