The Business Manager for the Solar Products Group will join Maxim’s newest focus on renewables. The solar market has experienced tremendous growth over the last several years as more companies transition toward alternative energy sources. Maxim is looking for a dynamic and driven business manager to leverage our technology advantages and continue our success by identifying the right opportunities and ensuring successful execution.
Lead business development efforts with new and existing solar end customers in the western US region
Manage partner relationship and business development efforts with module partner regional sales teams
Assists in marketing and sales penetration plans to ensure revenue growth
Provides input on industry trends that translates to Maxim opportunities and initiatives. Presents market needs and proposes strategic plans for innovating to stay ahead of the market.
Create strong engagement with customers to assist in defining technology and product roadmap which will drive growth
Help manage marketing aspects, pricing, product positioning, revenue forecasts, and other business proposals/justifications.
Provide technical support and promotional training for partner module manufactures sales teams
Support for marketing communications output for product press releases, advertisements, product briefs and sales collateral
Bachelor or Master degree
Minimum 6 years of business development activity
Experience with growing product line revenues
Solar market experience
Experience working directly with sales and customers
Decision making, problem solving and analytical capabilities
Excellent written and verbal communication. Strong presentation skills
Effective at customer engagement, including: communicating to executives, articulating full product portfolio, strong commercial acumen, and management of strategic customers.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of time.
