Assist Business Development team in all aspects of day-to-day operations. Includes working on Business Development core functions; Corporate Strategy, Business Planning, Competitive Intelligence, M&A, and Market Research. Responsible for providing support to key team members with regard to the following:

  • Financial modeling/ data analysis
  • Competitor and industry research
  • Primary market research
  • Ad-hoc economic analysis and forecasting
  • Execution of ongoing reporting
  • Development and summarization of key findings in presentations

Primary clients include the CEO, CFO, Head of Business Development, and Senior Operating Committee (SOC). The group's research and analysis will be used to support and drive the strategic positioning of the firm. Department is also aligned to support the core businesses of the organization, enhancing both strategic and tactical planning for internal business partners. Incumbent works in tandem with competitive intelligence and M&A team.


  • Provide insight into key business questions regarding competitive positioning
  • Analyze data and reports to identify trends/insights that will influence business decisions.
  • Research market data for information used in executive presentations to the SOC and BOD
  • Produce daily news to the Business Development group by summarizing articles from Forbes, WSJ, Bloomberg, etc. to keep the team abreast of industry trends and happenings
  • Ad Hoc projects


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years of financial services experience
  • Understanding of competitive environment including operations of banks, brokers, and asset managers
  • Outstanding presentation skills with the ability to write clear, factual, and compelling analysis
  • Ability to help develop thematic industry research and company-specific reports
  • Proficiency with analytical tools, including Bloomberg, Factset, Morningstar, SNL, Capital IQ
  • Good understanding of financial statements & analysis
  • Competency in financial modeling and experience building and maintaining financial models
  • Strong verbal skills, aptitude for highly creative solutions, strong attention to detail
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills
  • Achieved or in process of achieving CFA is a plus
  • Military education or experience may be considered in lieu of civilian requirements listed.
