Summary of This Role

TSYS is looking for an experienced, partner-sales professional to identify prospects and manage the complete sales cycle including execution of referral contracts with new high-potential partners in selected vertical markets. Must be able to strategically connect with prospects including software vendors and national associations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Call on assigned vertical markets

• Negotiate and execute agreements with new referral partners

• Develop and maintain an overall sales plan for assigned vertical

• Identify key business opportunities and create strategies to win new business for TSYS in assigned vertical
• Manage new business sales cycle and maximize opportunities by effectively coordinating TSYS’ resources while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction

• Bring and further develop an industry network and expertise in assigned vertical
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of TSYS products, technologies and services

• Keep management informed of all issues regarding relationships with prospects

• Timely tracking of all prospect activity and submission of requiredsales activity reporting

• Participate in prospect presentations.

• Comply with the letter and spirit of the TSYS Information Security Policy

• Represent TSYS with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity


• MUST have credit card industry experience

• 5+ years proven VAR / Partner / Channel salesexperience in merchant services is required
• Experience with B2B C-level sales or background in software sales and new payment

   strategies with a proven history of skills and ability to effectively sell in an integrated environment

Preferred Experience

• Interacting with High Level Executives, Credit Card Industry Knowledge and SalesExperience, Software Sales, E-Commerce knowledge

• The ability to execute both strategic and tactical efforts related to new business development

• Demonstrated experience in managing new projects across multiple functional areas; hand off to relationship management team

• Exceptional quantitative and strategic thinking skills

• Expertise at communicating with executive level decision makers is a must
• Must demonstrate a working knowledge of standard business software (Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel)
• Experience with a plus

• Four Year College degree
