Job DescriptionThe Senior Business Analyst is a dynamic and challenging role that partners with business stakeholders to understand, analyze, distill, and communicate business reporting and analytical needs so that technical delivery teams can develop and deploy effective solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Design, deploy, and enhance a suite of critical analytics dashboards, reports and queries to support the company, operational and financial analytic capabilities.
- Ask critical business questions by applying analytical methodologies in pursuit of solutions using data driven (fact based) decision making.
- Monitor and analyze operational data to identify trends, issues and opportunities, and provide feedback to key departments in service of analytical based recommendations.
- Leverage retail, online, and catalog sales data to provide insight into our transaction patterns, product trends, marketing performance, supply chain, and inventory.
- Provide Data analysis and reporting related to increasing optimization and performance improvement.
- Partnering with key business users and departments to understand business needs, and gather requirements while also balancing technical feasibility.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications that can be understood by in-house Development and Reporting teams.
- Participate (or direct) workflow analysis in support of requirements identification.
- Work with analytics reporting technology, such as data-cubes and other data mining techniques.
- Help test, benchmark and optimize existing reports, analytic tools, data sources, database queries and procedures.

RequirementsJob Qualifications - Education and Experience- 4-year degree in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Computer Information Systems or related field.
- 7+ years of progressive responsibility within business analytics or finance teams
- Demonstrated Analytical capabilities; Statistical Modeling preferred
- Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel: use of data pivots, data visualization to show trends, and extensive knowledge of formulas and functions
- Advanced knowledge of data analysis, profiling and modeling
- Experience working with Business Intelligence platforms: Cognos, Microstrategy, SSRS or similar technology
- Experience designing and constructing data models, cubes and performing reports testing
- Strong Business Requirements gathering and Analysis Skills
- Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL - required for query, profiling and testing
- Database exposure: SQL Server, Oracle or similar RDBMS
- Exposure to retail, catalog and ecommerce businesses preferred
- Advanced degree not required, but preference may be given to candidates possessing MBA or other advanced degrees or training

The anticipated salary range for this position is $108,100 - 162,000 depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits to Associates (and their families) such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 236 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays). Paid sick time up to 80 hours per year unless otherwise required by law.
