Primary Responsibilities

  • Independently conducts business/systems analysis for Medium/Large computer applications and systems
  • Leads sessions with project stakeholders to elicit business requirements and ensure the results of the software development complies with user and business specifications
  • Design and create mockups, prototypes, documentation, and workflow diagrams to ensure designed products meet usability standards
  • Consult with project and business stakeholders to develop, document, refine, and communicate business and technical requirements
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding
  • Frequent collaboration with Product Managers to create alignment and purpose from concept to development.Program level planning to define high-level programs, initiatives, milestones, dependencies, resources allocations, customer interactions, documentation, etc. 
  • Articulate and identify strategic objectives for all assigned projects, aligned to customer expectations and company goals
  • Participates with project teams to troubleshoot defects (technical and functional) within production solution during post release support
  • Collaborates with management and functional teams to ensure that all software features and functions are documented, tested and validated, and support the training of solution customers
  • Other duties as required

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 4 years direct Business Analyst experience for software development, or 8 years generally related experience
  • Experience with UML documentation
  • Proficient ability to diagram and document Use Cases 
  • Prior experience with Business Process Modeling
  • Ability to conduct varied elicitation techniques (JAD, interview, observation, etc)
  • Knowledge of static and dynamic perspective analysis
  • Ability to implement complex business models
  • Very strong organizational and analytic skills
  • Ability to prioritize based on multiple inputs and competing priorities
  • Additional skills and experience as listed below is preferred but not required
    • Related certification such as CBAP, ITIL, Lean Six Sigma, or TOGAF are preferred
    • BA experience specific to healthcare application development is preferred (4+yrs)
    • TOGAF or Enterprise Architecture experience
    • Service Oriented Architecture and related technologies
    • Experience documenting use cases and business processes
    • Knowledge of the behavior health industry and practices is preferred
    • Demonstrated ability to find creative solutions and deal with ambiguity to solve complex business problems
