You will be responsible for defining monetization strategies to maximize revenue opportunity across customer segments by:

  • Performing market research & analysis and synthesizing input from customers, sales teams, and partners to understand different customer segment needs, value and willingness to pay
  • Performing market research for win/loss analysis and business value analysis, with ability to summarize and present recommendations to senior executives
  • Identifying opportunities to increase revenue from existing products and services through new pricing and packaging strategies
  • Translate pricing decisions into clear operational actions; driving communication and working cross-functionally to operationalize
  • Create standard metrics packages for; ASPs, deal approvals, deal scoring and make recommendations for enhancing deal approval policy and governance
  • Work with product management to understand product goals and objectives and continuously evaluate our pricing model(s) and results against our market and competition
  • Provide insights to the business through analysis of competitive pricing, packaging or bundling strategies, and customer buying patterns
  • Collaborate across functional areas such as the Product BU’s, Sales, and Finance to lead a successful pricing process by driving the evaluation, recommendation and operationalization of pricing decisions on new and existing products
  • Guide pricing proposals through New Relic’s governance process, from Pricing Committee approval through to implementation
  • Prepare the agenda for Executive pricing committee meetings; assist teams with preparation of content and materials to enable discussion and decision making
  • Deliver training to key stakeholders (e.g. sales, SOPS, deal desk) on pricing policy, changes, and releases supporting product launches

Skills and Experience:

  • Capability to manage cross-functional initiatives
  • Ability to translate quantitative analysis into a business recommendation
  • Strong leadership capabilities and business acumen with excellent communication skills both verbal and written       
  • 5+ years of pricing experience or Product Marketing, Product Strategy or Pricing Strategy
  • 5+ years of experience with visualization tools (e.g. Tableau) and computational skills (e.g. SQL, spreadsheet modelling)
  • Deep knowledge of the SaaS licensing models and related accounting
  • Superior strategic, analytical, cross-functional influence and organizational skills
  • Experience developing, executing, and interpreting primary customer research (e.g. conjoint analysis, interviews, focus groups)
  • Ability to influence various constituents, including senior management, by communicating concepts clearly and credibly to multiple audiences
  • Self-motivated and thrives in a fast-paced environment
