The Senior Manager, US Marketing – Promotions lead is responsible for the development and implementation of the brand and digital promotions inclusive of launch readiness & competitive readiness, for new products moving from pipeline to commercial entry. This individual work with and lead cross functional teams to plan and execute marketing strategies initiatives, with emphasis on digital marketing and congress planning.


These may include but are not limited to:

  • Generate and leverage a range of marketplace insights to craft and deliver market making promotional messages and materials inclusive of personal and non-personal materials
  • Plan and execute of key promotional tactics. These include the digital channel, e.g. website, digital marketing, and all other multi-channel marketing initiatives
  • Lead planning and execution of brand presence major congresses, including ASCO, ESMO and other congresses. Collaborate with Medical Affairs and other functions to lead the congress strategy, booth design, and measure success metrics
  • Manage and direct of agency of record, media agency and associated budget
  • Observe the changing digital behaviors and trends, and provide creative, strategic inspiration to the broader team
  • Communicate clear, concise and executable promotional strategies to sales organization
  • Drive attainment of all quarterly & annual US Performance Metrics and Launch Key Performance Indicators
  • Collaborate with the Sales & Training Team to monitor performance, ensure message pull through and uncover opportunities / issues in execution
  • Active participate in key business planning process, including: Strategic Brand Planning, Launch Planning, Tactical Planning, Competitive Readiness, & Quarterly Performance Reviews
  • Develop key promotional materials that are clear, coordinated, compliant and consistent with well-defined brand objectives & priorities
  • Respond to dynamic market conditions quickly and efficiently
  • Foster collaborative relationships throughout the entire organization

  • Exhibit knowledge of, and adhere to, all applicable healthcare laws and regulations, industry practices and Halozyme policies related to product marketing and promotion
  • Lead will be responsible for managing agency of record and associated activities as well as delivering all promotional materials for FDA submission and beyond

  • A minimum of Bachelor's degree in marketing, health care, business administration or related with at least 8 years of progressively responsible experience within marketing and sales related or digital agency functions (an equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered)
  • Experience related to launch of oncology products, strategic marketing, marketing promotions and customer facing roles (key customer marketing or sales)
  • Significant commercial experience from biopharma, and motivated by the prospect of growth in an early stage entrepreneurial company setting
  • Strong interpersonal skills required to build/maintain effective relationships internally and externally to manage alliances and collaborations with vendors, suppliers and partners
  • Ability to make objective decisions based on all data
  • Demonstrated good judgment, ethical behavior, decisiveness, strategic vision, and exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Clear and strategic thinker, implements change, incorporates innovation and implements strategies throughout all levels of influence
  • Strength in analysis, critical decision making and accountability

Physical Activities: On a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means.
