Our client is a Global leader of women's apparel and beauty products.

They are looking for a Senior Merchandising Specialist to join their Beauty Products team with a target demographic consists of youth from ages 15 to 22.

This role will be focused on the Body Care and Trend categories (i.e. face masks, bath bombs, etc.) with a strategic focus on identifying/targeting white space opportunities to grow the business.

This role required a Bachelor's Degree with at least 5 years experience in Beauty Merchandising 

A Successful Track record for high volume business growth and bottom line result is required.

Candidates with must have Strong Analytical and Strategic thinking skills

An ability to identify some of the newest Beauty trends and White space opportunities is required

Responsibilities:

Support and develop merchandising strategies that are incorporated into the annual and seasonal business plan to achieve sales and profit plans Beauty categories

Manage in-season business by tracking and analyzing sales data to identify opportunities to increase sales, improve margins, maximize inventories and decrease markdowns

Complement key item base with a breadth of selection to include newness through novelty items without over-assorting

Develop a strategic point of view of category growth plans and product pipeline

Identify white space opportunities and challenges for in-season business and future-season line planning

Leverage retail experience and expertise to intimately understand the target customer, brand, competition and trends

Influence cross-functional teams in translating customer, competitor and merchandise fashion knowledge into action

Strategize and anticipate the up-and-coming fashions/items/looks/products and create distortion to optimize the potential of that future trend

Communicate competitive data to the organization to recommend "first in market" changes and ways to increase sales and profit results

Develop strong partnerships with Merchandise Planning and Allocation, Design, Production and Sourcing, and Marketing teams

Analyze, interpret and report financial results to influence business leaders' decisions

Manage in-season business by tracking and analyzing sales data to identify opportunities to increase sales, improve margins, maximize inventories and decrease markdowns

Strategize and anticipate the up-and-coming fashions/items/looks/products and create distortion to optimize the potential of that future trend

Leverage retail experience and expertise to intimately understanding the brand, competition, target customer, and trends

Communicate competitive data to the organization to recommend "first in market" changes and ways to increase sales and profit results

Provide leadership direction to influence direct report and other team members' abilities to translate customer and competitor information along with merchandise fashion knowledge into action which drives category-specific sales growth and increases profitability to support overall company goals

Identify white space opportunities and challenges for in-season business and future-season line planning

Influence cross-functional teams in translating customer, competitor and merchandise fashion knowledge into action

Develop strong partnerships with Merchandise Planning and Allocation, Design, Production and Sourcing, and Marketing teams

Develop and present an overall line plan to cover financial goals
