Key Community Development Corporation ("KCDC") is the equity/investment arm within CDLI, and the subject KCDC Senior Banker position will work with the KCDC and CDLI Teams to further develop affordable housing equity/investments strategies to grow KCDC affordable housing investments in both LIHTC investments and preservation investments.
Essential Job Functions
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Affordable Housing Equity/Investment professional who is assertive, possesses a strong initiative and works well both independently and collaboratively to grow LIHTC and preservation investment strategies in the affordable housing industry.
Bachelors Degree (in related field)
7 to 10 ten years experience in tax credit investment with a focus on raising tax credit equity/investments from third party investors.
Strong third party investor contacts within the LIHTC investment industry.
Experience implementing creative selling and innovative problem solving techniques.
Proven ability to drive a business development effort individually and within a team.
Proven experience and broad understanding of government loan programs for housing development, tax credit investment, and other non-traditional CRA related investment products and programs.
Demonstrated sensitivity to the financial needs of low-to-moderate income individuals/communities and understanding of the tax credit markets.
Demonstrated proficiency in executing against a disciplined sales process within a sales service environment.
Strong knowledge of financial markets.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
7-10 years of experience investing and raising capital in the low income / affordable housing industry with demonstrated credit acumen. Recognition as an affordable housing investment industry expert. Strong knowledge of real estate fundamentals and underwriting as well as sales training and/or skills. Ability to travel.
Advanced college degree (MBA preferred)
10+ ten years experience in tax credit investments and raising third party tax credit investments.
