UserTesting is seeking a senior back-end engineer for its API Ecosystem team. which is working to turn manual processes into automated or self-service interfaces for our customers internal and external. This role affords an opportunity to exercise existing expertise and to grow with UserTesting as we expand internationally and technically. The CSE squad’s objective is to deliver a world class customer experience through:
Automation: Whenever possible, we should automate work through heuristics and/or AI/ML
Self Service: When appropriate, we should make it easy for customers to control their experience with UserTesting themselves
Tools: When necessary, our customer facing team members should have the best possible tools at their disposal
That might mean partnering with fraud-detection services, enhancing data access controls for internal customers, or building workflows both in the product or in a new administrative application.

About the Customer Success Enablement Team
The focus of the Customer Success Enablement squad is on identifying internal processes that could be exposed to our customers for their own control, automated, or simply removed. We will be partnering with internal users to build better administrative tools, enforce richer security paradigms.
In addition, we work to enhance the customer’s ability to solve their own problems by building new workflows that make sense in the context of our platform, or by liaising with our machine learning development teams to eradicate the problems entirely.
What We Have Ownership For:
The existing and future internal administrative interfaces, including compliant data access control for customer data
Simplifying or removing workflows for our internal users
Empowering our customers by building elegant self-service workflows
Building integrations that enhance customer experience in our product, like partnership with our community portal
What We’re Looking For:
Knowledgeable in Ruby/Rails
Significant experience working with GraphQL.
Experience separating services from an existing monolith.
