Banco Sabadell is seeking an Auditor candidate to join a dynamic team within one of the fastest growing banks in Florida.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for leading all phases of assigned audit reviews including audit planning, conducting audit projects, performing procedures as outlined in the audit program, preparing work papers as well as summarizing audit findings and recommendations for audit management's review and consideration.
• Assess risks and internal controls by identifying areas of non-compliance; evaluating manual and automated financial processes; identifying process weaknesses and inefficiencies and operational issues.
• Assist in developing and maintaining audit programs for assigned areas before the audit commences which includes continually evaluating the effectiveness of the programs.
• Assist in preparing written reports on internal audit reviews, including findings, analysis, conclusions and recommended actions for Management follow up.
• Follow-up of unresolved questions raised or pending matters.
• Assist in developing and updating internal audit procedures, risk assessment and audit plan.
• Identify industry, branch, regulatory changes or issues and address with the Audit Manager.
• Assist the Audit Manager in the closing conference with audit management
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or business administration.
• Masters degree preferred.
• 3-5 years experience in the combination of financial, audit of banks and regulatory compliance.
• Strong background in BSA/AML as well as consumer compliance strongly preferred.
• ACAMS or equivalent AML certification preferred.
