Senior Asset Manager

About the position

PGIM Agricultural Investments (PAI) is a business within PGIM Real Estate Finance, a wholly owned subsidiary of Prudential Financial, Inc. With a 100-year history in the agricultural space, Prudential's overall agriculture business provides lending and management of real estate investments (equity) in the agricultural sector throughout the United States and currently manages $4.3 billion of agricultural mortgages and nearly $1 billion of real estate investments. PGIM has a goal of growing its assets under management.

PAI, the equityinvestment management business, is seeking a highly motivated and seasoned professional to join the Fresno, CA office as the Senior Asset Manager in the western region. This position will report directly to PAI's Chief Operating Officer.

The Position

The Senior Asset Manager will be responsible for managing agricultural real estate investments in the Western U.S. including oversight of PAI's property management functions in the region.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage all aspects of the region's agricultural real estate investment portfolio to deliver strong returns to clients.
• Act as the central point of contact for property managers, marketing firms, intermediaries, internal team members, and third-party vendors.
• Manage all aspects of the asset and property management process, including presentations to senior management, capital improvement projects, budgeting, strategy development, property and portfolio level water security strategies, and commodity marketing.
• Supervise staff on a wide variety of assignments, including execution of horticultural programs, crop marketing, budgeting, risk analysis, property valuation, and capital improvement projects.
• Provide support for onboarding new property acquisitions.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have an undergraduatedegree in Agricultural Economics, Real Estate, Finance, or a related field. A graduate degree in Agricultural Economics, Business, or Finance would be highly desirable. Professional experience will include:

• 10 plus years of experience in agricultural real estate or related field.
• Significant knowledge of California agriculture and water, including the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA).
• Seasoned people manager with proven track record on training, mentoring, and motivating staff.
• Proven ability to develop, cultivate, and manage high quality relationships with existing and potential clients and colleagues.
• Demonstrable knowledge of how property level decisions translate into return performance for investors.
