Senior Architect at The Tatitlek Corporation in Dahlgren, VA

Job Description

*Position contingent upon Contract Award*

The Senior Architect shall have a Bachelor degree in Architecture with at least 30 semester hours were in architectural design and six (6) semester hours in structural technology, properties of materials and methods of construction, and environmental control systems.

The Senior Architect shall have a current registration as a Registered Architect in any state, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico or Guam.

The Senior Architect shall have ten (10) years of experience in architectural engineering in building envelope and related construction fields.

The Senior Architect shall have five (5) years of experience in analyze technical implications of design concept, calculating weights, volumes and stress factors, building codes, space and site requirements and other technical documents and reports to determine effect of architectural designs.

The Senior Architect shall have five (5) years of experience in coordinating structural, electrical, and mechanical designs and determine a method of presentation in order to graphically represent building plans.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide Architectural and Site Survey technical expertise and recommendations.

• Develop, maintain, and provide lab modification/revitalization Design Package supporting Bid-Build Fixed Price contract solicitation in coordination with the identified construction management agent.

• Provide post-design services

• Analyze risk impacts on all aspects of design and implementation

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:

As a condition of employment, must pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results.
