The Senior Architect/Planner is responsible for architectural/planning projects. Applies methodologies associated with facility master planning processes. Writes reports and specifications, supervises the preparation of facility plans, and reviews completed plans and estimates. Prepares and/or reviews plans, consults with manufacturers and vendors in the selection of materials and reviews all aspects of proposed site.. Performs activities and functions of an architect including preparation of; programming & conceptual design drawings, functional space planning, equipment and furniture layout, and knowledge of MEP coordination for project / space configuration. Prepares room by room programing for the purpose of developing conceptual designs.
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree, Architecture, CAD design
Minimum Experience: 7 -10 years hospital / medical clinic design & planner experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Title 22 & 24 building codes, OSHPD, City agency permits. Able to reconfigure or create new space plan options, Architectural program software. Understands & applies California Building Codes, licensing requirements and other applicable regulatory requirements associated with hospital, clinical & research projects. Able to perform CAD functions, blue beam and other related software applications. Understands the alignment between strategy and facilities master planning. Is capable of aligning facility master planning processes with business plans & core service line programs.
