DESCRIPTION

The successful candidate will have a current focus on expanding Rail and Transit Architecture Practice opportunities with our established clientele MBTA, MassDOT, CTDOT and RIDOT along with market-driven diversification including Department of Defense (DOD) and Education. This individual will lead multi-disciplinary, collaborative design teams with registered architects and building systems engineers. Applicants must demonstrate creative problem-solving, strong organizational skills, proven project management capabilities, and a thorough technical understanding of construction documents, detailing, and constructability, including technical specifications and construction procurement.

Responsibilities include:

  • Project management and staff oversight within the New England offices and greater Northeast region
  • Ability to identify and lead project pursuits
  • Client management, effective verbal/ graphic presentation skills/experience

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • BS/BA in Architecture, or MS/MA in Architecture
  • Registered Architect (RA), NCARB certificate
  • 8-10+ years of experience in the design and documentation of architecture projects beyond initial licensure, including well-developed skills in three-dimensional visualization and agency experience with any of the following; MBTA, MassDOT, CTDOT and RIDOT public transportation and/or rail & transit clients
  • Demonstrated Building Information Modeling (BIM) [Autodesk Revit Architecture 2015] AutoCAD 2015 proficiency, and Microsoft Office (Word/Excel)
  • Design talent, graphic presentation, and effective visual/verbal communication skills are essential
  • Proficient understanding of inter-relationships among design/engineering disciplines, clients, and constructors
