Performs all phases of applications systems analysis and design.
Analyzes systems specifications and develops applications to support information systems processes.
Prepares detailed specifications from which complex programs will be written.
Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents and maintains these programs.
Formulates scope and objectives through research to develop or modify complex systems.
Position requires U.S. citizenship for security clearance.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or other job-related field, OR
Two years of job-related experience, plus an associate degree in computer science, information technology or other job-related field, OR
Four years of job-related work experience.
Required Work Experience
Four years of application development, systems testing or other job-related experience.
Mainframe technical skills that include: IMS, mqueue (MQ), CICS and Network Data Mover (NDM/Connect:Direct).

Strong understanding of applications/development, quality assurance and integration methodologies, concepts and facilities in a mainframe, mid-range and/or PC/LAN environment.
Strong analysis, decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
