DUTIES: Consult with IT teams and functional units on the design of important products and services. Code new programs and scripts to monitor authorization and settlement activity of credit, debit, gift, prepaid, check and private label cards. Support existing business system applications. Use expertise in multiple languages, and application development technologies, tools and methodologies. Work on moderate to complex projects and issues within functional area. Work more independently with IT Functional units and business units. Recommend strategies to improve system applications. Perform numerous tasks while supporting production applications using UNIX. Provide production support in Cards and Payments domain using AIX operating system. Develop C programs and UNIX Shell scripts for monitoring and reporting. Use UNIX shell scripts for research. Provide technical and domain assistance on North Front End applications during an outage. Maintain PROD and research servers with the latest code changes. Report any bugs to Development team and track all reported issues and ensure implementation of fixes in upcomining change release. Create reports by writing SPLUNK queries to alert and monitor. Use UNIX shell script with HTML to generate reports. Provide guidance to new merchants going live with the latest software application. Use AIX operating system with UNIX, C Programming and SPLUNK to monitor applications. Support applications using Extensive Markup Language (XML) to parse and format the incoming and outgoing messages. Complete tasks such as implementing change records and incident records within SLA’s. Responsible for reading tcp_ip traces. Lead a team of on-shore and off-shore analysts. Must have Payment Card processing industry knowledge and EMV. Develop new shell, AWK, python and Perl scripts to increase productivity of application support and to automate repeatable manual tasks. Create DRD reports using SQL from IBM DB2 database. Utilize C++, Shell Scripting (korn, bash and csh), Windows, LINUX, Parse/Format handlers, CA Service Desk, Putty, Wireshark, LoadRunner, WinRunner, OSI model, NAT, TCP/IP, DHCP, DLC, DNS, SMTP, SNMP, Telnet, FTP, SFTP, SCP, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office, Visio, Access, SharePoint, Banking and Finance, Host Security Module, ISO8583, Encryption and Tokentization, IBM Power 6 Series, and IBM Data Studio. REQTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any) or a related field plus six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or as a Project Lead or a related position. Must have six (6) years of progressively responsible experience with: C; C++, XML and SQL; Shell Scripting (korn, bash and csh); AWK; Perl scripts; Python; UNIX AIX; Windows; LINUX; Parse/Format handlers; CA Service Desk; Putty; Wireshark; LoadRunner; WinRunner; OSI model; NAT; TCP/IP; DHCP; DLC; DNS; SMTP; SNMP; Telnet; FTP; SFTP; SCP; MS Word; Excel; PowerPoint; Office; Visio; Access; SharePoint; Banking and Finance; Host Security Module; ISO8583; and Encryption and Tokentization. Must also have three (3) years of experience with: IBM DB2; IBM Power 6 Series; and IBM Data Studio.
