Role:

This role is responsible for assisting the Treasury Director with key aspects of TD Ameritrade’s overall financial strategy, including capital structure, issuance of debt, share repurchases and rating agency relations.  Additionally, this role will provide back-up support to the Sr. Analyst – Counterparty Risk.

Responsibilities:

  • Track performance of outstanding debt and compare to competitors
  • Assist with debt related analysis and transaction execution, including interest rate swaps
  • Assist with share repurchases & shareholder dividend strategy and implementation
  • Develop analytical tools and financial models to support decision making
  • Assist with rating agency presentation development for annual update meeting
  • Maintain relationships with the rating agencies, including the initial review of rating agency correspondence and press releases
  • Maintain relationships with key banking partners and bring ideas back to internal business partners to help enhance and/or improve banking related activities
  • Calculate and Monitor the Risk Adjusted Capital (RAC) Ratio
  • Work with the liquidity manager to determine the need for liquidity lines of credit
  • Assist the Treasury Director with bank documentation related to credit lines, including analyzing for best practice terms and conditions
  • Gain an understanding of the counterparty risk policy and procedures
  • Perform the monthly reporting requirements as needed

Requirements:

  • 4 Year College Degree; Finance or Business major
  • 5+ years total experience 
  • 3-5 years of capital markets experience in a large corporate treasury department and/or bank, with strong experience in financial concepts, modeling and forecasting
  • Experience working with rating agencies, including an understanding of rating methodologies
  • Advanced written, presentation development and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience with Bloomberg terminal
  • Military education or experience may be considered in lieu of civilian requirements listed.
