Develop data solutions to business problems in a data-intensive environment. Create dashboards and data visualization to effectively communicate insights to multiple levels of leadership using Tableau, Splunk, GA. Work with various teams across functional areas to ensure efficient analysis and reporting is being utilized to make business decisions including, requirements gathering, investigating data and solution alternatives, working with team members to design solutions, detail source to target mappings or develop prototype code, quality assurance testing, and implement final work. As our data lives in multiple sources: Hadoop, MySQL, Oracle and Google Cloud, understand the various complexities involved in each of the databases and extract data using Apache Hive, Impala, Oracle SQL, Google Big Query, Apache Pig, and python. Build adaptive outlier detection system using Splunk’s machine learning toolkit/ Python to analyze around 1.8Million Accommodations/Hotels and identify underperforming or overperforming entities. Build time series models (e.g. autoregressive moving average (ARIMA)) for various metrics using Python to identify outliers at a hotel product level to address performance issues. Correlate business performance to various supply metrics such as availability of rates in multiple rate channels utilizing complex statistical techniques including regression, decision trees, random forests utilizing R/Python, Hive/Impala, Oracle SQL, Splunk. Develop Splunk correlation searches to identify and address the impact on business performance through alerting, continuous monitoring, and analytics. Lead the data design of goal-setting process. Work with product managers for product optimization, A/B testing efforts to improve site conversion, and identifying and driving significant revenue growth.


Master’s degree or the equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Intelligence and Analytics, or related field of study and 2 years’ experience in a role performing data analysis/engineering business intelligence duties. Experience specified must include 2 years with: SQL, R, Tableau, Unix, Linux; Producing effective data visualizations using Tableau or an equivalent data visualization tool; Predictive Analytics; Java; PL/SQL; and Shell/Bash Scripting.
