JobDescription:

Key contributor to the company focused on driving profitable growth through effective price management and commercial analytics. Provide detailed and actionable analytical insights to key decision makers with the goal of improving price optimization and price realization efforts of the business. Drive results by collaborating with IT, Marketing, Finance, Product Management and Sales teams across the business. Work hands-on with the functional leaders within the business to provide analytics to help make strategic and effective commercial decisions.

Responsibilities & Expectations:

  • Analyze quote, order and revenue data from multiple systems (Business Objects, SAP, Quote Tool) to generate analytics around price trends, customer segments, product categories, deal segmentations, regions and sales channels, win rates
  • Provide actionable insights to help identify volume and price/margin expansion opportunities
  • Partner with Sales team on National Account proposals and historical analysis
  • Support Innovation team & Commercialization team with data requests and new product development and pricing process
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting on margin and key business initiatives
  • Manage the development of a standardized analytical package used for Price List reviews and discount structure reviews: competitive analysis, discounting trends, product performance/margins, win/loss trends, etc
  • Improve the amount and quality of data available for fact-based decision-making to include the ability to track and measure the performance of commercial initiatives
  • Maintain historical price data and competitive insights; build a standard process of maintaining this information
  • Critical role in the annual budgeting process for sales and price by channel
  • Support commission calculations for sales leadership

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years work experience in a similar or financial-based role
  • Bachelor's Degree Required (Business, Finance, etc)
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to understand and develop insights from complex business and market data from multiple sources
  • Ability to manage large sets of data to complete analytics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Experience with SAP, Hyperion, Business Objects preferred
  • Ability to see the big picture while collecting information and analyzing trends
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with various functional leaders

  • Excellent communication skills; comfortable presenting and communicating new ideas

Salary

$80K - $90K
$80K - $90K base, +Other bonus
