Primary Responsibilities:

  • Interpret the key drivers of health care trends for our internal and external clients

  • Perform pricing methodologies and assumptions

  • Develop new rates, prepare cost estimates and conduct and evaluate studies on pricing, utilization and health care costs for our broad range of clients

  • Determine the impact on premiums as well as various health product proposals

  • Perform mathematical analyses and Actuarial modeling that provides management with statistical findings and conclusions

  • Manage projects for internal and external clients

  • Design and run complex data programs

  • Perform quantitative analysis of Actuarial, financial, utilization and costs data

  • Calculate reserves

  • Analyze forecasts and trends

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Near ASA

  • 5+ years of Actuarialexperience

  • 3+ years of Actuarialexperience working with Healthcareclaims

  • 3+ years of internal and/or external Client facing project management experience including managing multiple projects/priorities simultaneously

  • Interest in and demonstrated capability to successfully lead projects and Client engagements effectively

  • Experience mentoring and guiding the analytical work of junior staff against project timelines

  • Advanced proficiency working with MS Excel including experience building and refining models in Excel

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Prior consulting experience

  • ASA or FSA credential

  • At least a basic level of proficiency with SAS and/or SQL
