Senior Acquisition Sales Representative
Overview & Responsibilities
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Specializes in creating customers through Q-team and channel opportunities. Responsible in providing complex configuration customers with product offering based on facts and understanding of customers needs. Handles each qualified lead through the full sales cycle from lead to close. Maintains a clear understanding of how existing customers are using Rackspace solutions.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITY: Strong professional sales expertise to include the sales process and sales techniques. Good knowledge of complex configurations which apply to offerings based on customer’s needs. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate technical info and ideas so others will understand. Ability to successfully work and promote inclusiveness in small groups. Ability to provide FANATICAL support.
JOB COMPLEXITY: Operates at a highly transactional pace and are key levers in building promoter customers. Generates outbound calls on potential client leads, occassoinaly making client site visits and presentations. Uses internal relationships to exceed customer expectations and provide support to the team. Engages and persuades mid level to senior level management. Works with Sales Engineers to ensure client receives most accurate and relevant proposals. Must have the ability to see patterns and deconstruct problems to develop solutions. Identify multiple causes, effects and customer solutions. Moderate to advanced configurations-cloud computing preferred. Sells to entry and senior level management. Customer centric mindset, with the ability to interface with support team on a daily basis. Utilizes Salesforece, proposal tools, and other sales utilities.
SUPERVISION: Minimal supervision required. Receives some general direction from manager. Mentor more junio sales representatives.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Sales, Marketing, Business or a related field. 5-7 years successful experience New Business B2B sales in technology or related industry required. Prefer experience in sales to companies with revenue of 500k to 50M+, incorporating value/service selling. Sales experience in hosting, SAAS, or Cloud Computing industry preferred. At the manager’s discretion a High school diploma or equivalent plus an additional 4 years of relevant sales experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS: General office environment. May require long periods sitting and viewing a computer monitor.Moderate levels of stress may occur at times. No special physical demands required.
