Job Description

Work closely with the Senior Director – Operational Accounting in the close process of I&CR facilities to ensure the timely and accurate monthly financial close and consolidation of financials.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with plants and staff to ensure accurate and timely closing of books

  • Manage and integrate the month end close, including journals, review, analysis and financial reporting of assigned plants which may grow over time

  • Prepare monthly financial statements and management reporting

  • Provide oversight of expense analysis and forecasting on SG&A cost centers of respective business units

  • Review and/or approve account reconciliations to ensure timeliness and accuracy

  • Provide direct assistance in budgeting

  • Work closely with Senior Director – Operational Accounting on Commercial projects

  • Provide assistance to internal and independent auditors

  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures that support standardization across the Commercial businesses

  • Perform ad-hocreporting and projects

  • Manage staff to include performance development and management

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

  • 6+ years of experience in accounting environment required

  • 2-3 years direct management experience of staff positions required

  • Experience in a similar role preferred

  • Public accounting and manufacturing experiencepreferred

  • SAP experience strongly preferred (including BW/BEX)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) advanced in Excel

  • Certification and/or License – Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
